![]() Malwarebytes WILL support individuals on a case-by-case basis, so rather than coming online to join a debate on this issue, please make sure you pursue this with Malwarebytes. ![]() Remember lifetime codes were 1-PC and a lot of people are trying to migrate to a new computer since the original purchase and wondering why they can't take their 'lifetime' code with them - it's not your lifetime! It's the lifetime of the original installation. ![]() Lifetime is usually is defined as the lifetime of the version purchased or the original installation. Malwarebytes 'support' team clearly sends the same reply to everyone who hasn't bought direct from Malwarebytes as they have no record of who bought which lifetime code from where, so they simply blanket them all and claim they are all bought unauthorized. NO reseller/retailer can be 'authorized' or buy direct (unless you buy in huge numbers, like Amazon), we ALL buy from distributors, as is the case in all industries. Let me clarify the situation:ĪLL our Malwarebyte 'lifetime' codes were bought from an official Malwarebytes distributor. Let me make a few points as it's far too easy to get carried away, make accusations online and leave these for everyone to see and blame anyone but Malwarebytes. Why advertise non-expiring licenses if you don't honor them?Įdit2: As per Malwarebytes, Creative mark/Cleverbridge was the one selling illegitimate keys, avoid.Įdit3: Creative mark is adamant that Malwarebytes is the one deactivating the lifetime licenses. So, if you got yours from Creative mark, expect for the key to stop working at some point.Įdit: it seems that Malwarebytes is deactivating the lifetime licenses themselves and Creative mark can't help it. Additionally, Creative mark is not an authorized reseller. Unfortunately, our licensing team discovered that the license key belongs to a legitimate user who purchased the license key from our website. I asked about the situation from Malwarebytes support and they were quick to reply: Just the other week my copy of Malwarebytes had turned to the free version and the ID+key couldn't be used to activate the premium version anymore. I bought my lifetime, unlimited, non-expiring, 1-PC license of Malwarebytes from Creative mark/Cleverbridge back in 2015.
